Grocery may not be disrupted in the way we feared years ago, with Amazon Fresh opening up in Santa Fe, but there’s still plenty of room for disruption. The traditional Kroger store has 58% food and their new marketplace store at 120,000 sf has 59% food. That leaves >40% of the store as non-food, or the perfect opportunity for online providers to encroach.
